The North and East building communities are fully occupied, with occupancy starting in March 2026.

Construction work on Nestbau Mitte has begun.

Currently occupant is 73%. Occupancy begins in summer 2027.

House 4 – Workroom facing the street with light wells, basement (B2), the workroom was completely filled with rolled gravel and serves for rainwater storage. (02.12.25)

House 5 – Ceiling joints and drywall filled (12/02/25)

The scaffolding of house 8 has been completely supported, allowing us to connect properly with the floor slab. (02.12.25)

 

Construction status:

House 5 

  • Screed has been applied.
  • The underfloor heating has been put into operation.
  • The painter has filled the ceiling joints.
  • The drywall installer is currently applying the second coat of filler.
  • The window sills are currently being installed.
  • Apartment entrance doors have been ordered.
  • Interior doors have been measured and ordered.
  • The substructure for the suspended ceilings in the apartments is being installed.
  • The external thermal insulation composite system is currently being applied; the east and north sides are insulated.

House 6

  • The wooden panels on the balconies have been installed.
  • The sealing contractor is currently sealing the balconies.
  • The locksmith has installed the balcony railings.
  • The plumber has installed the frames for sinks and toilets from the ground floor to the 1st floor.
  • The electrician has completely laid the cables from the 2nd to the 5th floor.
  • The ducts from the ventilation installer have been enclosed from the 1st to the 5th floor.

 

The following trades have been awarded:

  • Formwork, earthworks, shell construction, reinforced concrete, scaffolding, windows, electrical, ventilation, sun protection, apartment doors, lightning protection, drywall construction, waterproofing, steel doors, heating and sanitary, locksmith, carpentry work on balconies, green roof, rolling gate, concrete drilling and sawing, parquet work, tiling, natural stone work, Interior doors, painting work, basement partitions, sheet metal work, ETICS, construction cleaning

 

Further procedure on the construction site House 5 and House 6:

  • House 5 preparatory work for painting
  • House 5 start tiling work
  • House 5 reinforcement for ETICS
  • House 6 start ETICS
  • House 6 concrete the sanitary shafts
  • House 6 substructure for screed and underfloor heating from the ground floor to the 2nd floor
  • House 6 pour screed from the ground floor to the 2nd floor

 

House 7 

  • T- Elevator system is in production.
  • Plumbing has installed the wastewater pipe in the basement and is currently installing the water pipes.
  • The ventilation room has been insulated.
  • Roller shutter boxes are installed.
  • Waterproofing work on the balconies is underway.
  • Vapor barrier on the roof has been applied.

House 8

  • Shaft measurement has been completed, the elevator system is in production
  • Steel frames for WE doors are installed
  • The windows in House 8 are completely installed
  • The entrance door elements are currently being installed
  • The vapor barrier on the roof has been applied

 

The following trades have been awarded:

  • Earthworks, Shell construction, Wu concrete, Ventilation, Scaffolding, Ventilation work, WE doors, Lightning protection, Electrical, Windows, Heating/plumbing, roof waterproofing, basement partition walls, sun protection, interior plaster (circular resolution), drywall (circular resolution)

 

Further procedure on the construction site House 7 and House 8:

  • Resumption of interior plastering work House 7.
  • Installation of elevator system House 7.
  • Insulation work basement House 7.
  • Preparation of drywall work House 7.
  • Installation of water pipes basement House 7.
  • Installation of the ventilation unit House 7.

 

  • House 4, House 9 and House 10
  • The shoring has now been completely removed, and the workspace in UG 2, House 4, has been filled and the light shafts installed.
  • The floor slabs between Houses 8 and 10 will be concreted today and tomorrow.
  • Walls in UG 1 of Houses 4 and 9 as well as in the underground garage are being constructed; before Christmas, the upper basement ceiling/UG 1 of House 4 will still be concreted.
  • The large crane has now been moved from NBD East/North to NBD Central.
  • At House 10, the foundations are currently being concreted and backfilled.
  • The house connection for wastewater is currently being prepared.

The following trades have been awarded:

  • Explosives detection, earthworks, shell construction, shoring

 

Further procedure on the construction site House 4, House 9 and House 10:

  • Complete the remaining excavation for House 10
  • Basement ceiling UG 1 Houses 4 and 9
  • Garage floor slab
  • Construct garage walls
  • Backfill work rooms
  • Install wastewater connection

We have received KfW funding, climate-friendly new construction with QNG (loan 298) for all apartments.

For apartments in houses 4, 9 + 10 you can submit individual applications for a KfW loan in programs 297, 298 or 300 (for families with children under 18 years of age).

This funding program can be accessed for all apartments via the Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau.

For houses 4, 9 and 10, you can submit individual applications for KfW loans with updated conditions via the Sparkasse Freiburg as a “pass-on bank”.

All residential buildings in the district are built according to the ‘Sustainable Building Plus Quality Seal’ (QNG seal), to energy standard Efficiency Building Level 40.
This means you have the opportunity to take advantage of the extremely low-interest KfW loan for climate-friendly new constructions to finance your portion of the project.

The application for the development loan is handled by the Sparkasse Freiburg Nördlicher Breisgau.

If you have already attended an information event and are interested in learning more, you will have the chance to meet with the project management or architects of the individual buildings for personalized guidance and advice starting at 5 pm, before the event.
