The North and East building communities are fully occupied, with occupancy starting in Summer 2026.

Construction work on Nestbau Mitte is proceeding according to plan.

Currently occupant is 85%. Occupancy begins in summer 2027.

House 5 – Cleaning of the apartments in progress. (19.05.26)

House 7 – Heating and sanitary work in progress (13.05.26)

House 8 – Roof insulation completed. (13.05.26)

Construction status:

House 5 

  • All apartments have been cleaned.
  • Apartment doors are currently being painted.
  • The first kitchens are being installed.
  • Tiles in the stairwell are completely laid.
  • The underground garage has been painted and the preliminary work for the coating has begun.

House 6

  • The painter has plastered the ceilings and walls in the apartments and is currently sanding the walls.
  • At the same time, the painter will start wallpapering the ceilings this week.
  • The facade is reinforced.

 

The following trades have been awarded:

  • Formwork, earthworks, shell construction, reinforced concrete, scaffolding, windows, electrical, ventilation, sun protection, apartment doors, lightning protection, drywall construction, waterproofing, steel doors, heating and sanitary, locksmith, carpentry work on balconies, green roof, rolling gate, concrete drilling and sawing, parquet work, tiling, natural stone work, Interior doors, painting work, basement partitions, sheet metal work, ETICS, construction cleaning, Mailboxes, locking system, Carpentry work, balcony coverings, underground garage coating.

 

Further procedure on the construction site House 5 and House 6:

  • House 5 Completion of painter work in the stairwell
  • Completion of underground garage coating
  • House 6 Apply plaster bands, topcoat, and clinker
  • House 6 Glue fleece on wall and ceiling
  • House 6 Start tiling work
  • House 6 Start parquet work

House 7 

  • The plumber has completed and pressure-tested the pipes up to the meters; the pipes are now being insulated and the toilets/showers/ washbasins are being piped.
  • The roof insulation has been fully completed
  • The electrician is currently working on the rough installation and is laying the cables in the apartments
  • Outdoor sockets and shutter cables have been installed
  • The ETICS installer has started with the exterior insulation in the courtyard and is progressing quickly
  • The locksmith has installed the screed angles in the stairwell and is currently preparing the balcony railings

House 8

  • The roof insulation was also completely finished at house 8
  • External sockets and blinds cables were laid
  • The drywall installer erected the walls and covered them on one side
  • The base plates for the fall protection were installed by the locksmith
  • Ventilation installation in the apartments and risers is ongoing
  • The ETICS installer also started with the external insulation in the inner courtyard here and is making steady progress

Further procedure on the construction site House 7 and House 8:

  • House 7: fastest possible completion of sanitary work in the bathrooms
  • House 7: fastest possible completion of electrical work in the apartments
  • House 7: after completion of HVAC rough installation, close drywall walls
  • House 8: start HVAC work
  • Insulation work in the basement of House 8
  • House 7+8: green roof + PV substructure
  • House 7+8: completion of the facade in the courtyard

 

  • House 4, House 9 and House 10
  • The scaffolding construction is taking place alongside shell construction
  • The ceiling over the 2nd floor of House 9 will be installed next week
  • In House 4, the walls of the 3rd floor are currently being constructed
  • In House 10, the walls on the 1st floor are currently being constructed
  • The underground garage ceiling has now been completely concreted
  • Backfilling work is now largely completed
  • Steel doors for the basement have been ordered
  • Windows for House 4 are in production
  • Retention basins at House 10 and House 4 have been constructed
  • The camera surveillance of the construction site was slightly increased

 

The following trades have been awarded:

  • Explosive ordnance survey, earthworks, shell construction, shoring, electrical, lightning protection, ventilation, steel doors, residential unit doors, scaffolding, windows, sealing

 

Further procedure on the construction site House 4, House 9 and House 10:

  • Ceiling 3rd floor House 4, Ceiling 2nd floor House 9, Ceiling 1st floor House 10
  • Establish house connection for electricity and telecom, has been applied for, appointment still unclear
  • Work preparation windows House 9 and 10
  • Installation of the first windows in House 4 probably in week 25/26
  • Installation of steel doors in the basement probably in week 26/27

We have received KfW funding, climate-friendly new construction with QNG (loan 298) for all apartments.

For apartments in houses 4, 9 + 10 you can submit individual applications for a KfW loan in programs 297, 298 or 300 (for families with children under 18 years of age).

This funding program can be accessed for all apartments via the Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau.

For houses 4, 9 and 10, you can submit individual applications for KfW loans with updated conditions via the Sparkasse Freiburg as a “pass-on bank”.

All residential buildings in the district are built according to the ‘Sustainable Building Plus Quality Seal’ (QNG seal), to energy standard Efficiency Building Level 40.
This means you have the opportunity to take advantage of the extremely low-interest KfW loan for climate-friendly new constructions to finance your portion of the project.

The application for the development loan is handled by the Sparkasse Freiburg Nördlicher Breisgau.

If you have already attended an information event and are interested in learning more, you will have the chance to meet with the project management or architects of the individual buildings for personalized guidance and advice starting at 5 pm, before the event.
